The Jets promoted cornerback to a new position, adding D.J. Reed and the No. 4 draft pick, Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner.
The moves made Bryce Hall fight for a starting job in training camp.
Last year, Buster Hall only started 17 games for the Jets. In these games, he accomplished 14 pass breakups
and added 79 tackles. This was good enough to put him in a tie for third in the NFL.
Offseason workouts are a time of competitiveness. First round pick, Gardner, will have to fight Hall for playing time.
The mindset of the NFL star is to take responsibility for one's own actions and not focus on what they believe other's might be doing.
In the first 10 games, Hall started at the left corner. For the last 8, she was asked to shadow the opponent's top receiver.
When Hall started working with top wide receivers, he had to get comfortable being on both sides of the field.
This was a challenge at first, but as he got experience working with new players, he is now a versatile player.
Despite Stephen Hall's willingness to mentor younger players, he is expected to compete with Gardner for the left corner gig position.
"I try to take the same approach of sharing knowledge with those younger than me," he said.
