Charles Johnson, a star wide receiver at Colorado and first-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers, has died. He was 50 years old.

Johnson died of unknown causes. His death was confirmed by Colorado, the school he worked for when he died.

Johnson was drafted by the Steelers and played five seasons with them. He had 247 receptions for 3,400 yards and 15 touchdowns throughout his career in Pittsburgh.

Toward the end of his stay with the Steelers, he had 60 catches for 1,008 yards and three touchdowns in 1996.

He has also played for the Eagles, Patriots, and Bills. Johnson has made a name for himself at Colorado.

He broke records and had over 1,000 yards receiving with 5 touchdowns during his junior year.

He then continued on to break records again in his senior year, scoring 9 touchdowns and 1,082 yards.
