After negotiations, Wilson agrees to sign with the Broncos

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport just reported that the Denver Broncos will trade $245 million,

including $165 million guaranteed, with Wilson on a five-year contract.

The quarterback has two seasons left on a deal signed in Seattle

and an extension ties him to Denver for the next seven years.

After acquiring Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks in March,

Both sides waited for the new owner and his team to weigh in on the contract before finalizing an extension.

Wilson has $49 million a year on his contract with $165 million guaranteed.

He is right behind Aaron Rodgers, who has $50.3 million, and ahead of Kyler Murray, who has $46.1 million.

As a result of acquiring new quarterback Wilson, Denver Broncos have high expectations for the season.

Wilson’s ability to thrive in Seattle and win many games in his 10 years there is a great sign that Denver will be crowned champions this season.

When Wilson plays for the Broncos, he'll help open up their offense.

He hopes to show that he can be an effective player with his opportunity.
