Russell Wilson is still with the Seattle Seahawks

and he has not yet tried to negotiate an extension.

The Denver Broncos, who gave up a lot to get Wilson,

should sign him now to not waste any time.

Wilson is not concerned about his contract.

The Broncos general manager George Paton notes that

the team wants to get a long-term contract done with Wilson,

but does not want to pressure the situation.

"We want Russell here for a long time," Paton said through the Associated Press.

Wilson signed a four-year extension, which pays him an annual figure of $35 million.

Eight QBs currently average $40 million or more per year;

Wilson's recent extension put him at number two on the list with a salary at $46.1 million.
