Jameis Winston's return from an ACL injury has been made low-key this offseason.

The New Orleans Saints are now in a better position to make the postseason,

as there is no competition for their own playoff run.

Winston was unable to participate in the Saints preseason due to his knee injury,

but he’s back now and has been cleared for full contact.

Winston said Wednesday his return to the field is still a progression.

He said he is progressing in his healing process, but it doesn’t stop.

However, he did say he has been feeling stronger.

The Saints monitor player's return, but the QB may not be on a set number of practice during camp.

"Jameis, he's a competitor. He likes to win," Thomas said.

"He always shows up ready to work. You're not going to outwork him."
