After a neck injury derailed the 2021 season for Seattle Seahawks

running back Chris Carson, he announced plans to retire.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Carson has made the decision to retire because of injury.

A source indicates that he informed NFL Network of his decision on Tuesday.

They have given him a failed physical designation, which entitles him to injury protection.

The 27-year-old has played in just four games over the past season due to injury.

Carson said, "I see myself playing until I feel like stopping.

My mindset is never to give up,

so I'm staying positive and fighting to get back on the field."

Andrew Carson will not be playing football anymore because of a neck injury.

It was a very serious injury and since he will not develop any new treatments, his career is finished.

He has a career yardage of 3500 with 796 carries, 24 touchdowns, including back to back seasons of 1,100 yards.
