UEFA’s playoff system for World Cup qualification is a thrilling and unpredictable way to decide which teams will make it to the biggest stage in soccer. With so much on the line, the games always deliver.
This year’s UEFA playoffs were no different. Italy, one of Europe’s powerhouses, was sent packing early on. North Macedonia, a nation of just 2 million people, took down the heavily favored Italians in front of their home fans.
